IN WINTER THE BODY SYSTEMS OF HORSES
ARE CHALLENGED AND USED DIFFERENTLY. DOES YOU HORSE HAVE THE SUPPORT IT NEEDS?

Our Winter Warming blend has been carefully prepared to warm your horse’s body from the inside by maintaining blood flow and oxygen uptake. The natural combination of clivers, dandelion leaf, raspberry leaf, celery seeds, nettle, yarrow and ginkgo will support your horse’s entire system through the colder months, with particular care for the immune and lymphatic systems. These herbs will also prevent cold related ceasing of joints.

During the months of winter, horses are exposed to a wide range of bodily and immunity related stressors. This blend of herbs will help your horse to meet the challenges of the colder months by keeping them warm internally and keeping the lymphatic and endocrine systems well toned to ensure that a build up of toxins does not occur. Whether your horse is stabled or turned out during winter, this blend, with its high nutrient levels, will keep the winter blues away.

Dandelion Leaf and Raspberry Leaf are the herbs selected to target digestive health in this blend.

Although not necessary, it is recommended that this blend be soaked for feeding in order to promote availability of the active constituents in the herbs. Either soak this blend with the rest of the feed given to the horse or soak on its own. For best results soak separately by either steeping the blend in boiling water and feed when the water has cooled, or soak overnight in cold water.

When introducing new products to your horse’s diet, do so gradually and build up the dose. We recommend that this blend be fed at a rate of 30-50 g per day for a 500 kg horse or 15-30 g per day for a pony (40g= 1.5 cups) This product is not suitable for pregnant mares. A veterinarian should be consulted if you have ongoing concerns about the health of your horse or when making alterations to your horses feeding or medicinal regimen.
