DOES YOUR HORSE HAVE NERVOUS ENERGY,
ANXIETY RELATED TO SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES OR EXPERIENCE GENERAL APPREHENSION?
This specially formulated blend of vervain, lemon balm, raspberry leaf, chamomile, passionflower, marshmallow root and peppermint has a calming effect by acting on the endocrine and nervous systems. This blend is a good accompaniment to sound training practices and can also be used for acutely stressful situations such as travel.
Horses that frequently express nervousness and apprehension often have gut disturbances and gastrointestinal issues as a consequence. This blend of herbs targets the nervous and endocrine systems as well as acting to sooth and care for the gastrointestinal tract. This helps to ensure that your horse not only behaves calmly, but that the internal systems affected by ongoing stress and nervousness are also aided.
Although not necessary, it is recommended that this blend be soaked for feeding in order to promote availability of the active constituents in the herbs. Either soak this blend with the rest of the feed given to the horse or soak on its own. For best results soak separately by either steeping the blend in boiling water and feed when the water has cooled, or soak overnight in cold water.
When introducing new products to your horse’s diet, do so gradually and build up the dose. We recommend that this blend be fed at a rate of 30-50 g per day for a 500 kg horse or 15-30 g per day for a pony (40g= 1 1/4 cup). This product is not suitable for pregnant mares. A veterinarian should be consulted if you have ongoing concerns about the health of your horse or when making alterations to your horses feeding or medicinal regimen.
