We’re Updating Our Packaging: Boxes to Recyclable Bags
At Equinutritive, we’re always looking at how we can do things better for our horses, our customers, and the planet. As part of that, we’ve been considering our packaging and how we can reduce it even further.
So, we’re making the move from our cardboard boxes to recyclable bags. It’s a simple change, but one that helps cut down on unnecessary materials while still delivering the same high-quality supplements you know and trust.
Better for you, better for your horse, and a little kinder to the environment too.
We know packaging changes can raise questions, so we’d like to share a little more about this update.
Why are we changing our packaging?
From the beginning, we’ve been conscious of the materials used to package our supplements. Our aim has always been to avoid unnecessary packaging and to choose formats that are both responsible and fit for purpose.
After careful research and testing, we’ve sourced recyclable bags that:

Are appropriate for protecting the product

Maintain freshness, quality, and safety
This change allows us to improve our environmental impact while continuing to meet the practical requirements of the supplement itself.
Has the supplement changed?
No. The formulation, ingredients, and nutritional benefits remain exactly the same.
No fillers, added sugar or synthetic ingredients. Just the same supplement loved by thousands of horse owners.
Only the packaging has changed.
Does this change affect price?
As part of our packaging update, we’ve standardised the sizing of our product range. This is to ensure consistency throughout and any changes in price are reflective of our updated packaging sizes.
What if I have a subscription?
If you currently have an active subscription with us, your next order will process as usual with the same billing dates and schedule you’re used to. However, due to the new sizes you may want to adjust your delivery frequency to suit your horse’s requirements.
To make things more simple, we’ll be updating your subscription to the closest available size. In most cases, this will be the same as what you’re currently receiving.
It’s all part of our move to reduce packaging, while keeping things easy and consistent for you and your horse.
Are the new bags recyclable?
Yes. The bags are designed to be popped in your recycling bin. No unnecessary materials, no hidden waste. We recommend checking local recycling guidelines to ensure correct disposal. We pride ourselves on already saving 100,000+ plastic tubs from landfill, as part of our commitment to sustainability and our effort to protect the environment that allows our ingredients to grow.
Will the new packaging protect the supplement?
Absolutely. The new packaging has been selected specifically because it is suitable for the product, offering protection from moisture and helping to preserve freshness throughout use.
Will this affect how I store or use the supplement?
No changes are required. The bags are:

Practical for everyday use
Feeding routines remain exactly the same, and there’s no change to how you feed the supplement.
Why did I receive a box?
To help reduce waste and stay true to our environmental values, we’ll be using up our existing packaging throughout this transition. During this time, your order may arrive in either our previous or new packaging while we make the change.
